The St. John’s University women’s soccer team will play a five-game slate in the spring — all at Belson Stadium.

For the third consecutive year, the Red Storm will kick off the spring against Sky Blue FC (National Women’s Soccer League). The game, set for a 3 p.m. kickoff March 25, will be the first time Sky Blue visits Belson since 2013. Last season, the Johnnies went 8-0-2 on their home turf.

Sky Blue, which finished 7-8-5 last season, sports a roster than includes U.S. national team veterans Kelley O’Hara and Christie Rampone and 2015 MAC Hermann Trophy winner and Costa Rican international Raquel Rodriguez.

The Red Storm then welcomes Division II LIU Post, which has made three successive appearances in the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament. The Johnnies and Pioneers will kick off at 7 p.m. March 31.

The following week, University of Pennsylvania visits Belson for a 3 p.m. first kick on April 8. The Quakers finished 9-3-4 in 2016 and return three All-Ivy players.

Two weeks later, St. John’s will take on Sacred Heart on April 21 at 7:30 p.m. Last year, the Pioneers finished 8-6-5, including a 5-1-2 mark in Northeast Conference contests.

The Red Storm will wrap up its spring schedule with a match against Fordham University April 23 at 1 p.m. The Rams finished 2016 at 10-5-5 and went 5-2-4 in Atlantic 10 matches. Fordham is directed by Jessica Clinton, who coached under Ian Stone during the 2008 and 2009 seasons at St. John’s.
