The Red Bulls have canceled a trip to Sacramento, Calif. for preseason training and an exhibition game due to field conditions following a week of inclement weather in the Sacramento area, the club announced Wednesday.

New York was scheduled to play at Sacramento Republic FC (United Soccer League) Friday.

Instead, the Red Bulls departed Wednesday for Tucson, Ariz. to take part in the Desert Diamond Cup. They kick off their participation against archrival New York City FC next Wednesday, Feb 15.

The Red Bulls will host the Vancouver Whitecaps in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The second leg is set for Vancouver March 2.
