Veteran soccer commentators JP Dellacamera and Shep Messing have come up with a new, modern definition of a broadcasting team.

They will serve as managing directors of a United Women’s Soccer expansion team at the Farmington Sports Arena in Farmington, Conn., it was announced Friday night.

Messing is a color announcer with the Red Bulls, while Dellacamera is the Philadelphia Union’s play-by-play man and an announcer with FS1.

The team will play a 10-game league schedule with primary home games and training sessions at FSA. Additional friendlies may also take place this summer. The new team will play in the East Conference alongside clubs from Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Future announcements will include a new team name and colors, logo, a coach, player signings and tryout information.
