NEW YORK — Center back Maxime Chanot and midfielder Khiry Shelton were among 14 players left unprotected by New York City FC for Tuesday’s Major League Soccer expansion draft.

The Los Angeles Football Club will make its selections Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.

A team can lose only one player in the expansion draft.

In alphabetical order, here is the unprotected list:

RJ Allen, Kwame Awuah, Miguel Camargo, Chanot, Shannon Gomez, Eirik Johansen,
Mikey Lopez, Jefferson Mena, Sean Okoli, Andre Rawls, Shelton, John Stertzer
Andraz Struna and Ethan White.

Eleven players were included on the protected list.

That list included: Alexander Callens, Jack Harrison, Yangel Herrera, Sean Johnson
Ronald Matarrita, Tommy McNamara, Maxi Moralez, Alexander Ring, Ben Sweat, David Villa and Rodney Wallace.

Jonathan Lewis is exempt from selection as a current member of Generation adidas, while James Sands cannot be taken due to his Homegrown status.
