HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bulls II Friday exercised options on four players and declined the options of two others.

New York declined options on goalkeeper Rafael Diaz and defender David Abidor.

NYRB II has exercised the options of midfielder Andrew Tinari and defenders Noah Powder, Ethan Kutler and Jordan Scarlett.

Forward Douglas Martinez will return to his club, CD Vida in Honduras, following the end of his loan.

Five players are out of contract: defenders Tim Schmoll and David Najem, midfielder Florian Valot and forwards Junior Flemmings and Stefano Bonomo.

The club is in talks with Valot and Bonomo for the 2018 season.

“For the players that are moving on, I want to thank them for their hard work and wish them continued success in their careers,” NYRB II head coach John Wolyniec said in a statement. “The best part of my job is getting to know and help impressive young men.”

Defender Andrew Lombard remains under contract for the 2018 United Soccer League season, bringing the roster to five.
