New York City FC is one of four Major League Soccer teams reportedly interested in Minnesota United forward Miguel Ibarra.

Kristian Dyer of Metro New York reported Thursday that NYCFC had inquired about the 27-year-old, who had played for Leon in Liga MX for two years before rejoining Minnesota.

The LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers also are in the running, according to Metro New York.

Ibarra did not play up to expectations this year, collecting only three goals and four assists in 20 starts over 29 matches.

He was one of Minnesota’s first signings as an MLS expansion team. He had played for the club in the North American Soccer League.

Ibarra has played three times for the U.S. national team.
