The Monmouth University men return home for a matchup with hOURglass rival Saint Peter’s College Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Hawks ((4-8-2, 1-4-1) are coming off a 3-0 setback at Canisius College Wednesday, while the Peacocks (2-9-2, 1-6-0) earned their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win over Iona College, 4-0. Senior Jake Areman and redshirt freshman John Antunes lead the team with seven points, as each have scored two goals and three assists.

Redshirt senior Colin Stripling leads the team with three goals. Junior goalkeeper Bobby Edwards has made 63 saves through 14 games, earning three shutouts on the season. Monmouth has just three games left in the regular season after Saturday, as it will face Fairfield, Quinnipiac, and Niagara to try to earn a spot in the MAAC Tournament.

From Sept. 3 to Oct. 14, Saint Peter’s registered a 0-9-1 record. However, the Peacocks earned a convincing 4-0 win over Iona their last time out on Wednesday. Freshman midfielder Jordan Jowers leads the team with six goals and 13 points, which more than double the next closest athlete.

Senior midfielder Gabrielle Bandelli has added six points on two goals and two assists this season, while senior defender Andrew Romero is the only other player with multiple goals this season (2).
