WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Hofstra University men fell to William & Mary, 2-0, in Colonial Athletic Association at Martin Family Stadium Saturday night.

The loss was the Pride’s first CAA blemish of the season, dropping Hofstra to 3-5-6 overall and 2-1-4 in conference play. The preseason-favorite Tribe improved to 7-4-3 and 3-2-2 in CAA .

The Tribe scored the lone in the first half, with Marcel Berry heading in a goal in the 28th minute. Hofstra goalkeeper Alex Ashton made a few key saves early in the second half, but William & Mary solved him again in the 65th minute.

The Pride has a full week off before its next contest when it will host No. 15 UNCW at Hofstra Soccer Stadium Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
