In wake of the U.S.’s failure to reach the 2018 World Cup, U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati will hold a conference call with the media at 11:30 a.m. ET Friday.

The Americans, trying to secure a berth for the eighth consecutive time, lost to Trinidad & Tobago, 2-1, in Couva, Trinidad Tuesday night.

The result eliminated the U.S. from qualifying. The squad will miss the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
