HANOVER, N.H. – The Hofstra University men broke their streak of four consecutive draws, but not exactly the way they had expected to accomplish it.

The fell to Dartmouth, 3-0, in a non-conference matchup at Burnham Field Tuesday night.

The Pride (1-4-6, 0-0-4 Colonial Athletic Association) outshot Dartmouth (7-2, 1-0 Ivy League), 4-2, in a scoreless first half, but the Big Green used a second-half offensive explosion to earn its seventh consecutive win.

Dartmouth took over momentum after getting on the board with a penalty kick six minutes into the second half. The Big Green quickly added two more tallies, one from Noah Paravinci in the 63rd minute and another from Justin Donawa in the 68th minute.

Senior Danny Elliott led the Pride with two shots, including a late, long-range try that sailed just high. Freshman Marc Rodriguez also had an opportunity for Hofstra early in the first half, getting his foot on a cross.

The Pride returns home and to conference play on Saturday with the University Delaware at Hofstra Soccer Stadium Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
