Some good news for New York City FC.
Midfielder Yangel Herrera has recovered from his injury and is eligible to play for the club when it visits the Montreal Impact Wednesday night.
The Venezuelan international was forced to miss City’s last six matches after suffering an athletic pubalgia injury while performing for his national side during World Cup qualifying earlier this month.
Though only 19-years-old, Herrera has been a force for NYCFC when he is in the Starting XI as the team has gone 9-1-1.
Midfielder Mikey Lopez and Ethan White also have received a thumb’s up to play.
Center back Maxime Chanot still is recuperating from hernia surgery.
After NYCFC’s 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo in East Hartford, Conn., head coach Patrick Vieira said the Luxembourg international would return after October’s international break.
Midfielder-forward Miguel Camargo has been sidelined for the rest of the season with a non-displaced hip fracture.
