HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Hofstra University men continue Colonial Athletic Association play Wednesday, when Northeastern makes the trip to Hofstra Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. match.

The Pride (1-3-4, 0-0-2) played Charleston to a scoreless draw on the road Saturday, marking Hofstra’s fourth tie in its past five games. Junior goalkeeper Alex Ashton earned his third shutout of the season and has allowed three goals over that five-game span, bringing his goals-against average to just over one.

Northeastern (2-5-1, 1-0-1) enters Wednesday’s match having dropped its past two contests. However, of the Huskies’ five losses, four have been 1-0 decisions, including a loss to then-No. 1 Stanford. Northeastern also earned an extratime win over then-No. 12 UMass-Lowell and has a conference victory over Charleston, a 1-0 extratime decision.

The Huskies hold a 13-7-1 advantage in the all-time series with Hofstra, though the Pride has taken the past two meetings. Hofstra beat Northeastern, 3-0, last season in Boston, with Luke Brown finishing with two goals and Meshack Eshun Addy also finding the back of the net.

The Pride heads back out on the road this weekend, travelling to James Madison University for a conference matchup Saturday at 7 p.m.
