NEW YORK – Baruch College scored twice in the second half and goalkeeper Victor Torres earned the shutout with five saves to help record a 2-0 victory over Hunter College in a City University of New York Athletic Conference match at Randall’s Island Wednesday.

The Bearcats won their fourth consecutive match, their longest winning streak since 2013.

The two teams played an even first half, but the second was different as goals by Christian Minich in the 53rd minute and Dortion Alipaj in the 74th was enough to give the Bearcats the road win.

The first goal by Minich was a result of a cross on the right side by Bakary Kida. The second by Alipajhappened on a counterattack that caught the goalkeeper out of position.

The Bearcats will continue their CUNYAC slate at CCNY at Randall’s Island Field #91 Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
