Monday is the 16th anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy.

At least 44 then current and former players and coaches and parents of players perished that Sept. 11, 2001 morning.

This is a list of the 44 people who perished, put together, for the most part, by the 911 New York Soccer Foundation in 2001.

We realize that this is probably a partial list of the members of the soccer community who passed away.
