CHARLESTON, S.C. – Stefano Bonomo scored in the 72nd minute, lifting the Red Bulls II to a 1-1 United Soccer League draw at MUSC Stadium Saturday night.

The visitors moved to 8-11-4 28 points, while the Battery’s record is 10-5-8 with 38 points.

The Battery struck first just before the half time whistle, as forward Romario Williams found the net past goalkeeper Evan Louro for his 15th this season on an assist from Ataulla Guerra.

Red Bulls II equalized in the 72nd minute, when Bonomo scored off a deflection, into the side netting. Bonomo’s goal was his third in four games. Florian Valot assisted.

Charleston’s O’brian Woodbine received his second caution in the 86th minute.

Red Bulls II dominated possession, controlling 64.7 percent of possession and registering five shots on target and 22 total shots in comparison to Charleston’s four shots. Goalkeeper Evan Louro did not register a save.

The game also marked the debut of Dilly Duka and Fidel Escobar as both players were loaned down from the first team.

The team returns to action at home against FC Cincinnati next Saturday at 4 p.m.
