LOUISVILLE, Ken. – Red Bulls II continued their struggles, dropping a 2-1 decision in United Soccer League action at Louisville City FC at Slugger Field Saturday night.

Luke Spencer snapped a 1-1 tie in the 70th minute for Louisville City FC (10-5-3). NYRBII (7-11-3) lost to its foes for the second time this season, losing 3-0 June 11.

The hosts drew first blood in a free-kick cross from Oscar Jimenez to Paco Craig, who headed it past goalkeeper Evan Louro in the 39th minute.

Red Bulls II forward Stefano Bonomo scored his first goal of the season in the 58th minute. Forward Zeiko Lewis led a touch pass to the middle for a streaking Florian Valot. Goalkeeper Tim Dobrowolski saved the ball but left a rebound for Bonomo to slot home.

Spencer, who came on for Cameron Lancaster only moments prior, headed a corner kick past Louro in the 70th minute.

In the final minutes, Dobrowolski saved Hassan Ndam’s scissor kick.

Louro finished with a game-high six saves, including vital stops in the 40th and 80th minutes.

Red Bulls II host the Rochester Rhinos Saturday at 4 p.m.
