The Red Bulls could be adding some reinforcements in the next week or two, according to Metro New York’s Kristian Dyer.

In Monday’s editions, New York head coach Jesse Marsch said the Major League Soccer team was focusing on adding “attacking players and center backs.”

“It’s a combination of solidifying a few situations, figuring out some of the pieces. We have got our eye on a few things,” Marsch was quoted by Metro. “I would hope that there will be some announcements very soon.”

On Saturday, the Red Bulls loaned Red Bull II striker Brandon Allen, a vital part of last year’s United Soccer League championship team, to expansion Minnesota United.

Minnesota reportedly has an option to turn that loan into a permanent transaction.

“We aren’t going to comment on reports,” Marsch said. “We just felt that given everything, that Brandon had been with the USL and had sort of outgrown that experience. It’s hard for him here with the attacking group that we have. So we thought of trying to find an opportunity, Minnesota was really interested in him so we’ll keep an eye on him, see how he does.”

The Red Bulls host the San Jose Earthquakes at Red Bull Arena Wednesday night.
