OTTAWA — The Rochester Rhinos recorded their seven tie in 16 games this season, allowing Tucker Hume to score in the 89th minute in a 1-1 United Soccer League draw with the Ottawa Fury FC at TD Place Saturday.

The Rhinos (25 points) moved to 6-3-7.

Hume placed a looping header into the top left corner off the post from a throw-in to snap goalkeeper Tomas Gomez’s 340-minute shutout streak.

Still, Gomez enjoyed another outstanding game in goal, coming off his line several times to deny the hosts.

Jochen Graf boosted the visitors into the lead in the 15th minute. Wal Fall set up Graf, who chipped the ball over goalkeeper Callum Irving, who managed to get his fingers on it. An alert Graf tracked the ball to the goal line and made the final touch.

Graf nearly doubled the lead towards the end of the half as he caught Irving out of net, only for the goalkeeper to get back just in time to deny a goal.

The Rhinos return to Capelli Sport Stadium for two home games against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Toronto FC II July 22 and 26, respectively.
