The Big Apple Youth Soccer League’s New York Kids Alcones Neza recorded a 6-1-0 record as it became champions of the Boys Under-12 Division in the Eastern New York Premier Soccer League this spring.

Alcones Neza, Spanish for “City Falcons,” come from Queens and scored 32 goals, more than four per game, and gave up 15 during the ENYPL season.

“Our kids work very hard in every practice, the players understand tactics and, most importantly, the players have learned discipline and consistency plus have the right attitude,” New York Kids coordinator Cesar Martinez said. “With these characteristics, we became champions.”

The ENYPL, organized by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, is America’s oldest continuous Premier League, having kicked off play in 2001.
