The Red Bulls’ Hudson River Derby defeat to New York City FC Saturday will last longer than just failing to acrrue three points.

The Major League Soccer disciplinary committee has ruled that two Red Bulls players will be suspended from future matches — midfielder Tyler Adams and defender Kemar Lawrence.

Adams has been suspended for one game — Wednesday night’s game at the New England Revolution — and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in the 22nd minute last Saturday.

Lawrence also was banned for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in stoppage time Saturday.

The Jamaican international will serve the suspension in his next available Red Bulls match after his return from the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
