ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Striker Will Stone has set an interesting pace for the Rochester Lancers.

For the past three National Premier Soccer League games, the Englishman has scored the first goal for the Lancers.

That included Friday night as he started the Lancers to a 2-0 victory over Syracuse FC at Charlie Schiano Sr. Field at Aquinas Institute Friday night.

The Lancers (3-2-1) increased their unbeaten streak to four games.

The 20-year-old Stone, a graduate of Genesse Community College who will attend Wright State in the fall connected on the first goal in the 47th minute and Mike Cunningham added an insurance tally later in the half.

Goalkeeper William Banahene recorded the shutout.

During that four-game streak, Rochester is playing its best soccer of the season has it has outscored its foes, 8-1.

The Lancers host Cleveland here at 4 p.m. Sunday.
