ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Wal Fall scored the lone goal as the Rochester Rhinos registered a 1-0 United Soccer League victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Capelli Sport Stadium Wednesday night.

The win boosted the Rhinos to 3-1-3 while the second-place Rowdies dropped to 6-3-2.

The Rhinos tallied in the 27th minute. Kenardo Forbes whipped in a corner kick to Wal Fall, whose shot was blocked. Fall collected his own rebound and buried it past goalkeeper Matt Pickens for what turned out to be the only goal of the night.

The game did not have many goal-scoring chances for either side. Rochester and Tampa Bay finished with five shots apiece.

Rhinos goalkeeper Tomas Gomez recorded the shutout.

Former England and Chelsea star Joe Cole did not make the trip to Rochester.
