TINTON FALLS, N.J. — Sky Blue FC has announced that it will extend its annual Pride Night into a month-long Pride Celebration throughout June.
The National Women’s Soccer League club will play two home matches in June. The New Jersey club hosts Portland Thorns FC Saturday, June 3 at 7 p.m. The team will welcome Orlando Pride into Yurcak Field Wednesday, June 28 at 7 p.m.
“As a club, Sky Blue FC takes a strong stance in the support of equality, respect and acceptance of all,” Sky Blue FC president and general manager Tony Novo said in a statement. “Celebrating an annual Pride Night has become a regular fixture in our schedule each year. However, we decided to take that a step further this season by showcasing our mission to embrace social equality throughout the entire month of June. We encourage everyone to come out to these Pride matches and help us promote acceptance and non-discrimination for all people.”
A special Pride Pack will be offered for fans to attend both matches during Pride Month. For $30, fans can purchase a ticket package that provides a seat in Section 1 or Section 9 for each game. That is a 25 percent savings off regular ticket prices. Fans also will receive a Sky Blue FC Pride Bracelet as part of the offer.
