Marcelo Sarvas won’t be lining up for D.C. United when it hosts New York City FC at RFK Stadium Saturday afternoon.

The midfielder has been suspended for one game by the Major League Soccer disciplinary committee Wednesday and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play.

The committee ruled that Sarvas endangered the safety of an opponent in the 65th minute of D.C.’s match against the Philadelphia Union last Saturday.
