Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch will miss training Wednesday and Thursday with the Major League Soccer club due to his participation in two coaching courses.

Marsch will take part in the first U.S. Soccer Pro Course and begins a UEFA course.

“We fully support Jesse taking these courses. Our staff is fully capable of sharing the workload this week,” Red Bulls sporting director Denis Hamlett told www.NewYorkRedBulls.com. “Everyone within our club is aware of what our goals are, how we prepare during the week, and what we need to do to be at our best. It will be business as usual getting ready for Salt Lake.”

The Red Bulls will host Real Salt Lake at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. Saturday at 4 p.m.

Assistant coach Chris Armas will run video and training sessions Wednesday and Thursday.

“I always want to better myself in terms of thinking about the game, and this is an excellent chance to see some of the philosophies being taught in Europe,” Marsch said on the team’s website. “I want to continually improve myself as a coach and pick up lessons or a bit of knowledge that I can bring back and implement.”
